Baseball team rolls into playoffs with 8th straigh

The Screaming Eagles baseball team ran its winning streak to 8 in a row with a 5-4 win yesterday over the Class 4A Churchill Bulldogs in Potomac. Junior Tyler Klitsch won his 5th game of the season, pitching 5 innings, while Junior Russell Main closed out the last two innings to earn his first save. The Eagles fell behind 3-1 after 3 innings, but Klitsch and Main drew walks to lead off the 4th inning, and Junior Brian Black followed up with a long 2 RBI double and then came in to score later on a Bulldog throwing error. Junior Lorenzo Christy scored 2 Eagle runs, while also stealing 2 bases and Junior Erich Bachus also drove in 2 runs for Seneca. [Game Photos]
